LIBRARY

The library of HPBC seeks to meet your Christian informational needs with a selection of over 19,000 items, including books, periodicals, videos, audio tapes, compact discs, DVD’s and reference materials. We have an extensive Christian fiction section. Some of our resources include topics on marriage, divorce, child rearing, personal finance, hobbies, sports, travel and history.

We are here to serve you and aid in seeking out resources for your personal Bible study, or good wholesome reading for your children.  We are open to people outside of our church membership as well. Our mission is to provide resources and services to connect you with God and others and to strengthen and encourage your daily spiritual walk.

The Library is located on the first floor (East) Room 118 near Friendship Hall.  There is a return book drop by the Library door for your convenience. The HPBC Library shares our collection with the Hyde Park Baptist Elementary School.  For more information call the HPBC Library at (512) 467-8258.

Library Gifts

Gifts are essential to the Library for the purchase of new media. Monetary gifts as donations, memorials or honorariums for individuals or groups, are greatly appreciated!

The librarian and members of the Ministry Team will choose appropriate media to be purchased with gifts, guided by our selection policy as well as honoring specific requests by donors, where possible.

Gifts in the form of media must meet the same selection criteria as purchased media. Media should be in "like-new" condition with no markings or underlining. It is suggested that prior to donation of media, the donor check with the Librarian to avoid duplication. This is especially true for donations of large number of books due to our space limitations.

No provisional gifts will be accepted. All media not used in our Library will be given to other various organizations or libraries for their use.
