The Hyde Park Baptist Foundation was established in 1986 to provide financial support for the ministries of Hyde Park Baptist Church—now and forever.
To fulfill its mission, the Foundation seeks gifts of accumulated assets to be held in perpetuity (forever), preserving the principal, and using only investment income to supplement church needs or to provide scholarships for qualified church members to attend college or seminary.
The Foundation manages property and funds which are held in trust. Income earned from investments is distributed according to the specific directions of the donor or, in the absence of specific directions, by the Foundation Board of Trustees. Undesignated funds allow the Foundation to respond to a wide range of the Church’s needs.
The Foundation’s Board of Trustees is composed of sixteen church members, including the current chairman of the Hyde Park Baptist Church Trustees who serves as an ex officio voting member. Senior pastors serve as Advisory Trustees.
The Hyde Park Baptist Foundation is classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a Section 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity. Gifts to the Foundation are fully tax-deductible under the Internal Revenue Code.
